About…

Jordan Kensley is a US-based pole dance instructor, judge and performer. Without any prior experience, she discovered movement as an adult and fell in love with pole dance after watching a Youtube video in the summer of 2012. After moving to Los Angeles, she entrenched herself within the aerial dancing community, and was soon in any class she could find time for during the day, and dancing at clubs & gigs at night. From that first spark of interest, her passion for movement & the human form’s capabilities has grown ever since.

Jordan Kensley continues to learn about the body in motion and has become a powerful presence in the pole world by competing, judging, performing and teaching all over the world since 2013. She strives to embody the athlete, the artist, and the goddess in every dance; Jordan’s goal as an instructor is to help her students realize those same qualities in themselves.

Jordan understands how important having a basic understanding of “what is happening” from both a student and instructor experience; and she makes a conscious effort to include information for other instructors during her workshops so that movement can be passed on safely. Her vast amount of knowledge comes from her belief in the importance of continuing her education to better the experience of learning and discovery for her students; she has taken and passed numerous teacher certifications, and takes classes in many forms of dance to expand her skillset. In addition to being a well known dancer, Jordan Kelsey is an internationally certified Structural Integrationist and uses the information from this methodology to help better align people into their body as it relates to gravity. She uses her understanding of dance & the body in motion to expand her Structural Integration practice, and the biomechanical knowledge gained from Structural Integration to better inform her students of how their body engages and executes through movement.

If interested, Jordan does offer the opportunity to schedule bodywork, as a [1 x 1] option, while she is on tour.

“I come alive in two places; as an instructor and as a performer. My soul feeds on the energy in these moments and thrives.”
